Heather Ane Zeto – President

Heather Ane Zeto photo“In my career, I have experienced the small 2 person design firm renovating bathrooms and I have experienced the 30 person firm coordinating with structural engineers on a massive cantilevered spiral staircase – definitely diverse yet common all at the same time.  All of these experiences were valuable because I was privileged to have had the opportunity to work with incredibly talented, professional people who taught me that passion and practicality aren’t mutually exclusive.  Take mathematics for example – seemingly so rigid and formal a science, yet mathematicians are artists in their own right, requiring infinite creativity to derive the equations that describe our surroundings.  Passion drives creativity and excellence in any endeavor and it is the passion that I found for the sustainability movement that drives me to bring all of my creative energy to helping our clients achieve their goals in the most practical and efficient manner possible.”

It is rare that someone finds their true passion in life and even rarer so that when they do, they pursue it with absolute vigor. Having discovered her true passion in the form of sustainable architecture, it was a completely natural progression for Heather Ane Zeto to build on her previous work in the field of sustainability and to take that next step by creating Platinum Earth – a company dedicated to ensuring the success of its client’s LEED® and sustainable building projects. Both a graduate architect and LEED accredited professional, she compliments her credentials as a sustainability expert with over 10 years of experience in the field of architectural design and construction. With a diverse portfolio of projects spanning residential design with Earl Reeder Associates of Dayton Ohio, to commercial design including both educational and public with Blackburn Architects of Indianapolis, Indiana, Heather has a unique appreciation for the designer’s perspective when it comes to sustainable design. She was a founding Professional Associate of Urban Design in 2007, a pioneering LEED consulting firm in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Heather’s experience in design, project management and LEED has brought her to the forefront of the sustainable movement in Indiana. Although Heather has extensive knowledge of the LEED Rating systems, having been involved with them since 2001, it is Heather’s ability to effectively translate the LEED guidelines to real-world design and construction practices that has made her a valuable asset to her clients. Heather was the Project Manager for the River Crossing Center – the first certified LEED Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (EB: O&M) project in the state of Indiana, which received LEED Silver Level certification and is Energy Star Labeled. She has also been an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Indiana Chapter since 2007 dedicating her time and energy to promoting the growth of sustainable yet practical life practices.
